Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the first day she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. In just 10 weeks following her first tryout she came in second place in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix's debut Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the record of world juniors for running 200m in 22.18 secs. As of 2005, she became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, over her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix has consistently placed among the top 3 athletes in all her competitions in the Olympics that took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
